Once a month I am scheduled to work in Fin’s classroom and I’m usually the art parent. I anticipate it anyway and I wear things I’m totally cool never seeing again lest they get wrecked by the monkeys. Today’s art project involved painting giant rubber dinosaurs, adding glitter, and then dunking in a foamy bath of shaving cream. Sometimes the dinosaurs got cleaned and sometimes they made it back to the painting table covered in forthy man-smelling painted mess. And sometimes they were forgotten completely as a bucket of water soaked the floor surrounded us – pouring water is also quite fun it turns out. It was a good day. Such a fun project for these kids. All about the process and the experience. Love it.
