East West

It’s time to go home. We woke up on the East Coast and quickly jumped into the full day of travel to get us back home to the West Coast. Snapped the NYC skyline while heading to JFK in our car and then snapped the SF Bay from the backseat while driving on the Bay Bridge. All in all, door to door, it takes about 12 hours. It’s a long day, but thankfully, everything aligned and the kids were awesome. We love traveling and we especially love seeing our family, but it’s so nice to get home. Fed the kids and got them in bed within 15 minutes of arriving home. Mom & Dad weren’t far behind. One thing nice about the return trip, is that for 1-2 days, waking up at 6am feels luxurious. My body thought it was still in some random mostly East Coast timezone…  On this trip, for some reason, I never really adjusted to local time. So crazy. Hopefully, it was a fluke thing and not a sign that I’m getting old!
