So. We commissioned a painting. Remember it from a week ago?
Unfortunately, it wasn’t yet completely dry and it shouldn’t have been delivered in this condition. The artist leaned it against the curtains before installing it and it left paint on our just remade a second-time because a landscaper flooded our bedroom stupid expensive custom drapes. [Insert all the swear words here].
Since we were still waiting for the drywall guy to return and finish repairs and have yet to know when the painter is coming in to fix all the white spots, the painting now lives in our wine room where it cannot cause any additional harm.
A week later and I’m still struggling to decide if I need to send the drapes back to the fabricator and have the panel replaced again or just leave them jacked up because I’m so over it all.
And who leans a painting against off-white linen drapes? Really?
